KARYOW ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the KARYOW web app, mobile app, and services (collectively, the "Service").
We collect information you provide directly (name, email, phone, city, service preferences, payment details) and information collected automatically (device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, usage logs, cookies) when you interact with the Service.
We use your information to create and manage your account, match you with service providers, process bookings and payments, prevent fraud, send transactional and important service notifications, comply with legal obligations, and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal data.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs how card details are handled during checkout.
When you book a service, we share the information necessary for the provider to fulfill your booking (name, contact number, booking address, appointment time). Providers are contractually prohibited from using this information for any purpose beyond fulfilling the booking.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as required by Malaysian law (PDPA 2010). You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting our support team.
Under the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commissioner. Email support@karyow.com to exercise any of these rights.
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We also use privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies via your browser settings.
KARYOW is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
